These lessons and exercises are meant to clarify and contextualize various extant theories of music, which in my observation are misunderstood and misapplied by those teaching them (textbooks, YouTube videos, academia, word-of-mouth…), causing a great deal of confusion and intimidation for those trying to learn.

I developed these lessons while teaching undergraduate courses in music theory, technology, sociology, and musicianship at Dartington College of Arts (UK), Humber College (Toronto), Ryerson University (Toronto), Centennial College, and private mentoring.
